Learning from Text Analysis: Case files, forms and checklists
One of the key elements of an Institutional Analysis is the analysis of text such as case files, police reports, 911 calls, policies, protocols, checklists, intake forms, etc. Texts guide front line workers in how to think about their jobs, take action, and collect/organize information. Analysis of texts reveal how institutions take up the lived experiences of survivors, and where gaps exist. This webinar will examine what communities can learn from text and how adjustments to data collection can create a ripple effect that improves outcomes in cases involving violence against women. We'll explore what kinds of text to review and the various ways a community can be engaged.
