Learning from Survivors: The Beginning, the Middle, and the End of Community Assessment Projects

Focus groups, community conversations, group interviews, talking circles, etc. allow an opportunity for us to learn from the first hand experiences real people have with the systems we seek to change. They also provide for an opportunity for survivors to give back to their community, to provide their insights, experiences, and suggestions to advocates, law enforcement, prosecutors, and others who come in contact with survivors of violence against women. Careful, thoughtful preparation, facilitation, and analysis are keys to honoring the contributions survivors make to our community assessment process. This webinar will offer concrete strategies and tools to support successful implementation of focus groups.
