The Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA) Online Events Calendar gives grantees the ability to easily view all upcoming events sponsored by OVW Technical Assistance Providers. The calendar is fully searchable and includes the type of event (i.e.,training, conference, audio-conference), sponsoring organization, event location, contact information, registration information, and an event description. Other Rural Technical Assistance Providers
The American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI), National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women has a mission to improve the quality of justice in violence against women prosecutions. It works to increase awareness of the dynamics of victimizations, identifies best prosecution practices, develops research and reference resources and provides training and technical assistance at the national, regional and local levels for prosecutors,law enforcement and other allied professionals. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) offers a train-the-trainer program intended for those who train first-responders. The International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) provides leadership in forensic nursing practice by developing,promoting, and disseminating information internationally about forensic nursing science. One project is the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Protocol intended to disseminate the National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations (SAFE) of Adults and Adolescents,establish a national toll-free helpline for technical assistance,develop an interactive technical assistance website for the SAFE Protocol, provide limited on-site technical assistance to communities struggling to establish or maintain SART initiatives, and provide a national training. The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) is dedicated to promoting justice for victims of sexual violence through multidisciplinary collaboration, leadership and resources. The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) works with state domestic violence coalitions to assess program needs and help develop training and technical assistance plans. It also provides affordable expert speakers and trainers for conferences, workshops and trainings. NNEDV collaborates with state coalitions to assist states and local communities in implementation of the Violence Against Women Act, and provides state coalitions with the latest information about VAWA programs, policies, and legislative changes. The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is the nation’s principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence. With the comprehensive online library collection and customized technical assistance services it is a hub of information, research, and emerging policy on sexual violence intervention and prevention. The National Sheriff's Association (NSA) offers Domestic Violence Intervention & Investigation training to teach officers how to respond to calls while maintaining their own safety. Expert law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and advocates teach contemporary concepts of domestic violence intervention and investigation.
